Lingerie Editorial Anyone? 📸
“If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph.”
A good image can make you feel, make you feel good, bad, angry, sad, lost, confused, and a lot of other different emotions. Getting lost in images, especially fashion editorial images used to be my favourite thing to do when I was growing up (it still is now). To be honest, I never really understood what I was looking at in the pages of Elle, Marie Claire, or Vouge but all I knew was that the images I was looking at were gorgeous and they excited me.
A series of beautiful shots can change your perspective of reality. Flicking through magazine pages and seeing all the perfectly composited images really makes me believe I can have a piece of whatever the models are wearing. There’s nothing more exciting to me than a fashion editorial spread in a magazine. This is how eliDesign was started. I made a few lingerie pieces, styled them, and asked a friend of mine (Nick Freeman) to shoot them. The images turned out beautifully.
Lingerie can be a tricky thing to photograph. You want the images not to come across as sleazy or overly sexualized. (there is a market out there for that I know) But sometimes, it can be hard to shoot a series of lingerie images and make them look editorial, classy, and elegant! Lingerie is something most people wouldn’t think of as classy or elegant but I think it definitely is. Most people would see lingerie as being sexy, which it most definitely is, but, eliDesign’s lingerie definitely has huge elements of class, elegance, luxury, and sophistication to it. Something that you can wear around the house and still look and feel beautiful, something you can wear to bed that is comfortable or for your very special someone. It most certainly will make you look gorgeous. 🥰
